Imagine if you didn’t have the chance to go to school. Ever.
Now, imagine you had to live (food, transport, healthcare, education etc) on just $2 per day. That’s $2 worth of living if you were living in AUSTRALIA.
1.4 BILLION PEOPLE (That’s 60 times Australia..) are forced to live like this everyday.
I’m asking for your help.
For five days in May, I’m going to try to survive on just AUS$2 per day, as part of the ‘Live Below the Line’ Campaign by the Oaktree Foundation. I will be challenging myself in order to raise funds for the children in Yangis and Kumbaretta, Papua New Guinea, to go to school – many for the first time. Education plays such a crucial role in helping people break out of the poverty cycle, and will ensure a better future for the children and future generations. It would mean so very much to me to be able to help these communities become strong and independent.
Please sponsor me if you can, it would mean the world to myself and to the children in Papua New Guinea. Help them help themselves.
